New Carvings

Describing these new works, Peter Stiles wrote of them arriving out of a “kind of reverie…the stone billows and bends as if a wind has blown onto them”. Yet Peers wears his virtuosity lightly, keeping his attention solely focussed on the power of a simple form to draw us more deeply into the, exquisite, tactile surfaces of marble.
